Description of Responsibilities
The Sr Staff Accountant works closely with the Controller to support the financial health and reporting accuracy of our organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead or assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, posting journal entries, and preparing financial reports for management review.
- Oversee or assist in accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, monitoring aging reports, and managing collections or vendor payments as needed. Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and proper classification of expenses.
- Collaborate with other departments such as operations, and management to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and achieve organizational goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and systems, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of the specialized functions of accounting and financial management.
- Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail

Location: San Fernando Valley
Salary: D.O.E but the range offered is $75,000 – $90,000
